The volumes emerged from a rubric that journalist Susanne Barta wrote on franzmagazine during the 2020 lockdown. From conversations entertained with artist and friend Gabriela Oberkofler, Barta extrapolated thoughts and perspectives related to the pandemic times as these were experienced by a wide group of people. Post-pandemic, the two friends looked back and translated their conversations into brief writings and a set of evocative drawings. The volumes bring together in word and image, the spirit of a time suspended between isolation and insight. Among the interviewee feature Heiner Oberrach, Martin Langer, Marie Luisa Frick, Kurt Kortschal, Petra Oberkofler, Peter Zumthor, Isabelle Prinoth, Antonia Egger Mair, Carmen Lee Paul, Georg Kaser, Heinz Bude, Paolo Lugli, Birgit Gostner and Andreas Pfeifer.
